José Mayans - Chief of Police
The Benitachell Local Police are a public service dedicated to the maintenance of public security, whose main objective is to protect the free exercise of the rights and freedoms of citizens, to enforce the byelaws, and, generally, function as Police Officers.
The Police aim to be an efficient, open to the changes that are occurring in our society and to the needs of our fellow citizens.
To this end, the local police in Benitachell, is a young, dynamic force, composed of fourteen officers and one Chief Officer.
The ratio of local police officers per 1000 population is 3.55.
The Chief of Police is Jose Mayans. The Councillor for Security and Traffic Safety is Andy Bicknell.
